Chris Soules was released hours after being arrested and the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that the former Bachelor was released after his mother, Linda, posted his $10,000 bond for bail. According to police, Soules fled the scene of a vehicle collision that occurred around 8:20 p.m. on Monday. Christopher Douglas Soules, 35, of Arlington, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in death, which is a Class D felony. (more...)

Jonathan Demme, who won the Academy Award for Best Director for The Silence of the Lambs , died this morning in NY. But it's " Silence of the Lambs " for which he was best known. "He was pure energy, the unstoppable cheerleader for anyone creative", she said. For the second month in a row, a USA district court panel on Thursday afternoon found that a Texas district map illegally discriminates against minority voters. That means there will have to be a separate legal challenge to that plan too since it's the one now in existence, but that litigation should be much easier and quicker if Thursday's ruling against the original 2011 map stands. Munoz offered an apology to Dao, his family and other passengers on the flight. David Dao's lawyers on Wednesday made the first moves toward a lawsuit with an emergency filing in Cook County court. Doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London applied o the court for permission to withdraw treatment. Despite the ruling, people were still going to the GoFundMe page and donating money for Charlie.
