Callum Hudson-Odoi ready for Chelsea first team - Maurizio Sarri

Bayern Munich move wouldn't be good for Hudson-Odoi claims Sarri

Hudson-Odoi has been subject of four bids from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Bundesliga champions Bayern were reported to have made an improved £35million offer for Hudson-Odoi earlier on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old played the full game on Saturday as Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest in the third round of the FA Cup.

However, Chelsea are not the only Premier League club aiming to land the signature of the exciting young talent as Manchester United are also preparing a bid for Barella, who made his global debut for Italy in October.

When asked whether he thinks joining Bayern would be a good move for Hudson-Odoi, Sarri told reproters: "I don't think so, because he's an English player, he's very young". With the ball he is a very good player, he has to improve with movement without the ball.

"It's always hard to lose players, especially like him, because like I say he's a world-class player but also I understand it's part of the process, and if it's better for him and better for the club, we have to understand that".

"He was in trouble against Watford, but only because of a hamstring problem. I don't know the situation with the club, but I'm happy with the player". Their pursuit of Hudson-Odoi has been relentless, however.

" Like I said, I've been here and playing with Dortmund the whole time and I've been focused here, but I'll be really excited once the time comes". "I don't want to talk to a player about things that have nothing to do with me".

However, Chelsea could be ready to hijack Man Utd's proposed deal as the Daily Star are citing a report from Corierre dello Sport that claims the Blues would have the edge over their rivals if they step-up their interest in Barella.

"We don't need a replacement [if Cahill leaves], because we have [Ethan] Ampadu".
