Floyd Mayweather destroys Tenshin Nasukawa with swift KO in first round

Nasukawa vows to 'take down&apos relaxed Mayweather

Before the first of the bout's three three-minute rounds had ended, Nasukawa had been knocked down for a third time, and his corner was throwing in the towel to protect him from further punishment (see it here).

"Money" Mayweather has hinted on social media he was pocketing US$9 million for the fight, meaning he earned around US$4.5 million per minute for the spectacle.

Mayweather, who has won all 50 of his professional fights, insisted he was "still retired" after the exhibition.

Mayweather's declaration might disappoint those who were hoping he'd return to the ring to fight UFC superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov or fellow ageing boxer Manny Pacquiao. I did it just to entertain fans in Japan. "You guys have been incredible, thank you". The two faced off in a three three-minute round exhibition boxing match.

A delay of over two hours did not help ease fears that Mayweather was not going to show.

Just when you think Floyd Mayweather is finally retired, he comes up with a new way to return to the ring.

I want to say "Thank you" to Tenshin - it's all about entertainment.

The opening round starts off with Nasukawa circling towards the left jab of Mayweather, who had a big smile on his face and was slowly walking Nasukawa down. Mayweather landed a good body shot and a left hook and Nasukawa goes to the mat. "I'm still undefeated. This is just entertainment for the people", he added.

Nasukawa lands a straight left on Mayweather after Mayweather misses a straight right.

As for Nasukawa, he remains 28-0 in kickboxing and 4-0 in MMA, seemingly with a bright future ahead of him.
