Jabari Parker reportedly dropped from Chicago Bulls rotation

Jabari Parker Will Reportedly Be Removed From The Bulls Rotation

According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls have "engaged in trade talks with several teams" in an attempt to find a resolution to Parker's situation. In six games, Parker has averaged just 22.3 minutes in December, including four scoreless minutes in Thursday's 97-91 loss to the Orlando Magic.

Parker, who grew up in Chicago and played his high school ball at the famed Simeon Career Academy, says he was surprised by the move.

After the Bulls struggled, former coach Fred Hoiberg shifted Parker to a reserve role after three games in the preseason.

Boylen has chose to drop Parker from his regular rotation, ESPN's Malika Andrews reported Thursday, citing sources.

"Well, I think it's a matchup thing", Boylen said.

After Thursday night's game, even with Chandler Hutchison sidelined due to illness, Boylen chalked up Parker's lack of minutes to the matchup.

Part of the problem with Boylen's hard-handed style is his requirement that the players do unconventional drills at the National Basketball Association level such as running suicides. The team only bet on Parker for one season, hoping he would bounce back from injuries. That report was confirmed during the contest, as Parker barely saw any time on the court.

You can bet any team considering a trade for Parker will try to unload an equally bad contract with multiple years remaining, so this drama could continue well into the new year. You can't pout. You've just got to keep moving.

"Going forward, he's part of our team, and it's not about the individual, it's about the team".

That the Bulls paid two great Chicago basketball players in Wade and Parker almost $60 million for 89 games (and counting) shows both a desperate desire to recreate the Derrick Rose magic of. "It's about playing your minutes the best you can", Boylen said, per ESPN.
