Palestinian kills two Israelis in settlement's industrial zone: army

Israeli security forces search the northern West Bank after a fatal shooting attack in Barkan Industrial Park in the northern West Bank

Locals said that Israeli forces raided Karajeh's family home, who was brought along to the raid with his hands tied and dressed in an Israeli soldier's uniform. Several Palestinians have been arrested for questioning in connection with the attack.

Sunday's attack took place at the Alon Group factory in the Barkan Industrial Zone, where some 3,300 Palestinians work alongside Israelis.

The 23-year-old Palestinian used a homemade gun, known locally as a "Carlo", according to Conricus, in the apparent "lone-wolf attack".

"Bloomberg editors agreed with CAMERA that the officials' position was misrepresented, and commendably amended the article to refer to the killing two Israelis and wounding a third in what officials characterized as a terror attack", as opposed to militant attack.

Naawla was reportedly an employee at the Barkan Industrial Zone, located near Ariel settlement, where he allegedly carried out the shooting on Sunday.

"I call on the Palestinian leadership to condemn this murderous attack and to use the forces at their disposal to capture the terrorist and those who aided him", Rivlin declared.

The attacker killed 28-year-old Kim Yehezkel, a mother of an infant son, and Ziv Hajbi, a 35-year-old father of three, before fleeing.

A wave of Palestinian attacks against Israelis, predominantly settlers, broke out in 2015, but they have since become sporadic.

Last month, a Palestinian teenager stabbed an Israeli to death at a junction at the entrance to a large bloc of Israeli settlements in the West Bank near Jerusalem.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the West Bank murder, setting off a mass Israeli response against the group.

The army responded to protesters throwing bombs, rocks, grenades and burning tires with lethal and non-lethal means including live fire.

Palestinian activists on Monday staged a "maritime demonstration" near Gaza's sea border with Israel to demand an end to Israel's 12-year-long blockade of the coastal enclave. Just as in Lebanon, Syria or anywhere else we should shoot to kill.
