Mourinho tells Pogba he will never lead Manchester United again

Frank Lampard and Jose Mourinho enjoyed great success at Chelsea

Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho endured a frosty meeting in Manchester United training on Wednesday.

Despite this, the same source said Pogba has not made a definitive decision on his future and that reports he wants to leave are wide of the mark.

Despite playing relatively well, Pogba, on account of his astounding ability, performances during this summer's World Cup win with France and his astonishing price, tends to become the focal point for what are United's failings in a more general sense this season.

Things are going from bad to worse for Pogba at Manchester United.

It was reported in the build-up the Red Devils boss had told the World Cup victor in front of the squad he would not captain United again as he did not embody what the club is about.

The Red Devils will now dust themselves down as they prepare to take on West Ham United in the Premier League at the London Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

Berbatov, a striker at Old Trafford between 2008 and 2012, said in a Betfair press release: "If you are a captain or vice-captain, you're more often than not speaking on behalf of the players, and there is nothing wrong with giving the manager your thoughts".

"I'm the manager I can make these decisions, no fall out at all, no problems at all". Pogba or Mourinho? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.

In the meeting, Mourinho told the entire squad that Paul Pogba will never again be named the Manchester United captain under his management.

"I think he actually said that before the penalties, but I appreciate it". The season will dictate to me, players will change with form or injury, we have got another shed load of games coming in the Championship and now in the Cup.

While at Real Madrid he demoted Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas to the anger of the club's fans and at Chelsea he did not see eye-to-eye with Juan Mata, whom he now manages at Old Trafford.

"He's one of the greatest managers ever, look at what he's won, but is he the right fit for Man Utd and their style of play?"

The Frenchman was caught on camera giving a high-five to a member of the backroom staff before Mourinho appeared to say something to him.

Mourinho was far from pleased with his club-record signing and spoke to his players in the dressing room after the disappointing draw with Wolves.
