Dual SIM iPhone confirmed

China Mobile says the iPhone XC

Chances are that the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max will succeed the iPhone X. Another possibility is that Apple might also name the upcoming devices as iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Plus. The latest in that installment is a Goldman Sachs analyst who said that the cheapest iPhone Xc or whatever it gets called, will start from $849, and might only get to $799 if Apple has found wiggle room to cut costs before launch.

9to5Mac, a reliable source on Apple news, supported the three iPhone theory by publishing firsthand leaked images of iPhones.

As of yet, there is no official word on which one of the handsets will come with this feature but in all likelihood, it could be the iPhone XR which is the 6.1-inch budget handset.

An image allegedly taken during a presentation by China Mobile has claimed the models will be called the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Plus and iPhone XC. A new Apple Watch, new AirPods, the AirPower charging station are also expected here. However, we expect the U.S. prices to be at least 20 percent lower.

A image posted on Chinese website Weibo, spotted by Tech Carving, gives us a look at what is an alleged promotional poster from telecom operator China Telecom.

The 6.5-inch OLED iPhone will supposedly be called iPhone XS Max, according to Mark Gurman. For many years, iPhone customers have depended on hacks such as dual SIM cases and devices to enable dual SIM standby, and this is a welcome feature for the Asian market.

However, it will be the first ever Apple iPhone to come with dual SIM dual standby support.

Another branding decision that makes sense for Apple, as shown in the new leak, is to name the cheaper 6.1-inch LCD iPhone as the iPhone XC.

Although less likely, Apple may also launch new versions of its iPad Pro range.

So iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR or iPhone XC?

This week is a big one for fans of Apple smartphones, as the company will announce iPhones on Wednesday. But they have naturally ramped up more recently, considering Apple will announce the new trio of devices this Wednesday, 12 September. The company recently released a cheaper version of the iPad in March for £319, and before that a refreshed second-generation version of iPad Pro in June a year ago.

Historically, Apple has run a very tight ship when it comes to containing leaks, but things have changed slightly in more recent times.
