Hundreds of people gathered on Friday evening to remember the five people gunned down at a community newspaper office in Annapolis, Maryland, one of the deadliest attacks on journalists in USA history.
The Capital Gazettesaid on Twitter the accused was a local man who had filed a defamation lawsuit against the newspaper and a columnist in 2012. He says Ramos barricaded the exit door so employees couldn't escape, and that one of the five people who were killed was shot while trying to escape out that exit.
Ramos later sued the newspaper, a reporter, a judge and a woman who testified against him, but the case was thrown out. He said police believe they were sent before the attack, and detectives are now investigating.
