Liquid chocolate spillage closes Polish motorway

Tons of liquid milk chocolate are spilled and block six lanes on a highway after a truck transporting it overturned near Slupca in western Poland on Wednesday

A truck carrying 12 tons of liquid milk chocolate hit a barrier and tipped over.

The driver was admitted to hospital with a broken arm.

Senior brigadier Bogdan Kowalski with the fire brigade of Slupca, a town in western Poland, said, "the cooling chocolate is worse than snow".

"We contacted the manufacturer of chocolate and came to the conclusion that to eliminate the consequences of the accident, we should use a washer with warm water".

Marlena Kukawka, a media officer for the police in Slupca (near to where the spillage took place) also agreed that it wouldn't be an easy task.

But how about a chocolate-covered highway?

The driver, reportedly aged in his 60s, is being treated for minor injuries.

Even though no one was hurt in the accident, our heart is still breaking for the loss of this delicious dessert.

Think about how hard it is to get chocolate out of clothing.
