Stormy Daniels Just Dropped Another Lawsuit On President Trump

Stephanie Clifford also known as Stormy Daniels speaks to media along with lawyer Michael Avenatti outside federal court in the Manhattan borough of New York City New York U.S

Pornographic actress Stormy Daniels (Stephanie Clifford) filed a new lawsuit against the President of the United States Donald trump in Federal court in NY for libel.

The lawsuit in federal court in Manhattan escalates Daniels' litigation with Trump and his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, who paid her $US130,000 before the 2016 U.S. presidential election not to talk about the alleged sexual encounter a decade earlier.

Earlier this month, Stormy Daniels appeared on The View and unveiled a sketch which she says represents the person who approached her in a parking lot back in 2011 and threatened her. Daniels claims the man told her to "Leave Trump alone" and then looked at her infant daughter and added, "A handsome little girl".

But she argues the agreement is not valid, because Trump never signed it. Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen says he personally paid Daniels in the days before the 2016 election.

The suit says the president's tweet was defamatory as it accused Ms Daniels of "committing a serious crime" - namely, falsely accusing a person of threatening her.

The next day, Trump, who has denied through White House press officials allegations that he had an affair with Daniels, responded to the composite sketch on his Twitter account. "It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom", Daniels claims.

Trump has more than 50 million Twitter followers.

Daniels said she did not report the threat at the time because she "didn't want my life to turn upside down". We fully intend on bringing it to light.

Mr Trump retweeted a sketch of the man, calling it "a total con job".

Clifford claimed she was threatened in a Las Vegas parking lot after agreeing to an interview with "In Touch" magazine about her alleged affair with Trump.

"Mr. Trump's statement is false and defamatory", according to the lawsuit. Cohen is under federal investigation for matters relating to the Daniel's payoff, including campaign finance violations.

The FBI raided his home and office in early April and seized documents and other material in connection with a criminal investigation.

Daniels claims she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006 and thereafter exchanged calls and messages with him.
