James Comey's book sells 600000 copies in first week

Slate forced to correct report of unverified 'theory' on James Comey memos: 'Mea culpa'

The former national security adviser under President Clinton pleaded guilty to the unauthorized removal and retention of classified material from the National Archives.

At the Tuesday reception hosted by his literary agency Javelin, Comey said it was his "first book party ever".

"I see the Republican Party, as near as I can tell, reflects now entirely Donald Trump's values", Comey said on ABC's "Start Here". What he said is no surprise, as most people already know that Trump is a habitual liar and lacking in morals.

When the former Director was asked if he believed the President possesses the moral and mental capacities to effectively lead the armed forces, he said: "I don't believe he's morally fit to be president of the United States".

But Trump has said the allegations can't be true, because he never spent the night in Moscow. (He also asked, "Do I look like a guy who needs hookers?") The timeline Trump has provided of his trip has always been dubious, however, and newly obtained flight records from Politico seem to prove that his stay in Moscow in fact lasted from Friday to early Sunday.

The former Federal Bureau of Investigation director said that he did not have a nickname for Trump despite the derogatory monikers thrown his way by the President, like "slime ball" "Slippery Comey" and "liar" and "leaker". And yes, I take him seriously. It's unfortunate we have to deal with him. And he justifies his focus on the President's character is because it contains the roots of what he refers to a "forest fire" presidency that endangers American institutions.

James Comey's book tour has stirred an enormous amount of backlash - with critics on both the left and the right criticizing him for his answers and for even writing the book in the first place.

"I was attracted by the notion that character matters and values matter most of all, that that's where you start in evaluating a person, an entity, a country: What are their values".

"I don't", Comey added. Some things I watched. "And I'm, 40 years later, ashamed of myself, and it taught me a lot about myself and about people in groups".
