Chiesa's coach, Rick Little, said that Chiesa was injured by shattered glass, and that McGregor was "looking for Khabib" Nurmagomedov.

This weekend's fight against Alex Caceres provided Lobov an opportunity to try to end a two-match losing streak.

According to various media reports and video posted to social media, McGregor grew violent as a van containing other fighters left the arena's loading dock. A week filled with outrageous incidents was too much for the UFC to stand behind.

On Wednesday, White said the UFC would strip McGregor of his lightweight title, which would be awarded to the victor of Saturday's fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway in NY. They broke one of the windows and cut Michael Chiesa really badly.

White, meanwhile, called the incident the most despicable thing in UFC history, according to ESPN's Okamoto.

Conor McGregor hit the headlines for the wrong reasons on Thursday after being stripped of his UFC lightweight title. Dana White revealed Chiesa suffered cuts to his face and he's in the hospital.

Update: New York Police have confirmed that there is no arrest warrant out for McGregor at this time.

UFC 223 takes place this Saturday, April 7 at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, New York.

White also said this week he did not expect McGregor to attend Saturday's fights. Do you want to chase this guy for interviews and buy his fights?

"You don't know. He had a whole posse and a whole team with him doing all of this". He took time off to await the birth of his son, Conor Jack, and lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr.in his professional boxing debut last August.

"You could do whatever you wanted to Khabib within the limits of the rules of fighting", White said.
