Former UCLA forward LiAngelo Ball declares for NBA Draft

Report: Daniel Gafford returning to Arkansas for sophomore season

LiAngelo Ball, the younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo, has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft, per his agent, Harrison Gaines, via Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

LiAngelo Ball, regarded as the least talented among his two basketball-playing brothers, has made himself available for the 2018 NBA Draft in June.

He now plays for Lithuanian first-division club BC Priena but he's expected to return stateside in May in order to work out for NBA teams and participate in the Pro Basketball Combine at IMG Academy. When selected by the Lakers, people saw him as the future face of the team, with CEO Magic Johnson, who formerly played for the Lakers saying, "I expect the franchise to retire a #Ball jersey in the future" referring to how he expects Lonzo to be a superstar.

LiAngelo Ball believes he's ready for the big time. 247Sports ranked LiAngelo as a 3-star recruit coming out of Chino Hills high school, and he was ranked as the 226th overall player and 50th ranked shooting guard in the 2017 class. LiAngelo wasn't close to being one of the best players on the UCLA team he would've played on had he not been busted for shoplifting in China. Ball is averaging 15.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game and is shooting 45 percent from 3-point range in nine first-division Lithuanian league games. Upon his return to the United States, he was suspended indefinitely by UCLA and left the program without having played a game.

LiAngelo is expected to work out for several National Basketball Association teams once he returns to the United States.
