Life of the Party Trailer: Melissa McCarthy Goes Wild in College

Life of the Party

Audiences are in for a wild ride as Melissa McCarthy goes back to college to get her degree in the trailer for "Life of the Party".

Life of the Party is co-written by McCarthy with husband Ben Falcone, who also directed it, the third movie the duo have made together after 2014's Tammy and 2016's The Boss.

McCarthy has been busy as of late. She decides to enrol in the same university as her daughter Maddie (Molly Gordon) and live the college life she never got a chance to enjoy in her younger years. But now she's back with a new summer comedy that will take her back to school. Melissa McCarthy also has several other projects in the works, including things in her comfortable freakish realm of comedy like the The Happytime Murders (it's about puppets from a kids tv show who start to get murdered one by one).

Life of the Party hits theaters early this summer on May 11, 2018.

When her husband suddenly dumps her, longtime dedicated housewife Deanna turns regret into re-set by going back to college - landing in the same class and school as her daughter, who's not entirely sold on the idea. In addition to her spot-on but sadly short-lived role as Sean Spicer on SNL, she's setting up plenty of new projects, includingMargie Claus with Falcone, as well as the puppet-driven mystery-comedy Happytime Murders.
