Two-door Range Rover SV Coupe confirmed for Geneva reveal

Original Range Rover Sets Template for High-Zoot SV Coupe

Just 999 of the SV Coupe will be made available, and it looks likely that the vehicle will bust through the top of the Range Rover catalogue with a price of around £200,000.

Just one image of the new vehicle has been revealed, an overhead shot of the interior, giving us a glimpse of a two-tone leather setup that we might see when the auto is officially unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March.

Interestingly, this would be the first production of two-door Range Rover in over a decade's now.

"This is a vehicle that will resonate on an emotional level", he promised.

Land Rover has confirmed that it will unveil a range-topping two-door Range Rover model at the Geneva Motor Show in March as an homage to the original Range Rover of 1970 which paved the way for today?s line of luxury SUVs.

Ahead of the Geneva exposition here's a sneak peek at it - or at least of what Land Rover calls its "supremely refined" interior, boasting "peerless refinement and uncompromised sophistication".

Land Rover says it was created to commemorate the company's 70th anniversary this year, but marking exactly seven decades since the release of the original 1948 Land Rover Series I will be the all-new Defender at a special celebration late this year.

John Edwards, Managing Director for Special Vehicle Operations added, "Land Rover created the luxury SUV sector with Range Rover nearly 50 years ago". Limited to 999 examples worldwide, the RR SV Coupe will be hand assembled by Special Vehicle Operations in Warwickshire to go head to head with rivals from Germany and Italy in the shapes of the BMW X6, Mercedes GLE and Lamborghini Urus.

Prices and specifications will be revealed at the public reveal on 6 March, alongside details of the "extensive" personalisation options.
