Just Kidding, Kathy Griffin Isn't Sorry For That Trump Decapitation Photo

Kathy Griffin says gory Trump photo drama was 'blown out of proportion'

Griffin refuted her apology multiple times on Channel 7 as well as on other Australian news shows. Griffin is holding the press conference after a controversial photoshoot where she was holding a bloodied mask depicting President Donald Trump and to address alleged bullying by the Trump family.

"I'm no longer sorry".

Griffin told the Australian program the "whole outrage was a BS" and that the incident was blown out of proportion.

(Griffin) "No I don't have to apologize for that photo anymore and I think the outrage is complete bs because we have real things to deal with".

"President Trump just pardoned Joe Arpaio, who was essentially running a concentration camp in the Arizona desert", she told NY magazine in a recent comeback profile.

The comedian was sacked by CNN few days after she released the picture as#Anderson Cooper's co-host in the network's New Year's Eve Program.

Griffin spoke to Australian TV hosts this week to promote her upcoming global comedy tour. "Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the president of the United States is committing". "He said there are some good Nazis, and he's kicking out young adults who were brought here as kids by their parents, and I'm the one who has to continue to apologize?"

"I lost everybody", she said. She was sacked from hosting CNN's New Year's Eve Celebration, many of comedy shows were canceled, her friendship with Anderson Cooper was ruined, and she was investigated by the Secret Service. all over a stupid photo!

"Like, I had Chelsea Clinton tweeting against me", she said. I had friends, Debra Messing from Will & Grace, tweeting against me. I didn't lose just one night on CNN, my entire tour was canceled within 24 hours because theaters were getting all these death threats.

'I would be abandoning my principles as a comic and a human being if I backed off President Trump or any public person, ' she said, 'Comics by their nature are anti-Establishment. "I mean, these Trump fans, they're hard core". Via a series of text messages, she soon told him their friendship was over, The Cut reports.
