Microsoft, PayPal Partner for Mobile Peer-to-Peer Payments on Skype

PayPal's 'Send Money' feature lands on Skype

Obviously, you must download the latest version of Skype on your Android or iOS device.

When you first try to use Send Money you'll be prompted to connect your Skype and PayPal accounts together.

"Questions like 'Can I reimburse you for those movie tickets?' or 'What do I owe you for Mom's gift?' no longer require switching from Skype to your browser or banking app to start a payment process", the Skype team wrote in a blog post Wednesday.

"Whether it's to send money to your daughter studying overseas, reimburse a friend for grabbing milk at the store, or one of a million other reasons you might need to transfer cash, Send Money makes it easy and efficient", Microsoft says. With this collaboration, Skype users on Android and iOS will be able to send PayPal money to their contacts.
