Car ploughs into crowd six injured Los Angeles

At least eight people are injured after a van plows into a crowd in Los Angeles, California. Authorities also said there is no terrorism connection to the crash. L.A. Police Sgt. C. Barlow said bystanders stopped him less than a block away from he scene. The van hit several tables of diners at The Fish Spot, a popular restaurant in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood, KTLA reports.

It happened about 3:45 p.m. Sunday at 5088 W. Pico Blvd., at the intersection of South Redondo Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart. Two people injured suffered non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Four other transported patients were described as being in a "fair" condition. She went to help a man who was bleeding from his head, removing the pieces of patio furniture and fencing off his body.

The van was towed from the scene at around 7 p.m. and had a damaged bumper and flat tire.

The driver came out of the van and appeared disoriented, Crump said.
