Ariana Grande concert 'threatened' by man in Costa Rica

Ariana Grande

Mr Lopez is understood to have made the threat just hours before the concert, which took place on Sunday night.

Grande's team has been on high alert since an attacker at one of her shows in Manchester, England, killed 22 people in May. She postponed her Dangerous Woman Tour following the suicide bombing, but returned to the city of Manchester on 4 June (17) to stage a star-studded charity concert, raising funds for survivors of the attack and the victims' families.

A Colombian man has been arrested for threatening to attack a concert by Ariana Grande, just weeks after the United States singer's performance in Manchester was decimated by a terrorist atrocity.

Security has been tightened at Grande's concerts since the attack at one of her Manchester shows and fans underwent three security checks for Sunday's gig.

"I love you Costa Rica", she captioned the photo.

Costa Rican prosecutors said in a statement a suspect was arrested in connection with threats that were made online, the Associated Pressreports.

He added that even if the threat was meant as a "joke", it is "our job...to verify whether or not there is a real threat, because this is a very sensitive situation and it could lead to a tragedy". He identified the suspect only by the last names Caicedo Lopez. The brunette beauty paid tribute to Saffie last week on what would have been her ninth birthday. We won't let this divide us.
