Donald Trump, once again, insults 'Morning Joe' co-host Mika Brzezinski

TV hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski have accused President Trump of trying to destroy their reputations as serious commentators

President Trump shot back at MSNBC Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski with more tweet accusations Friday morning, but Scarborough says he has evidence to refute him.

According to a Vanity Fair interview, Brzezinski said the President offered them the White House or Mar-a-Lago as a venue for the wedding. "We ignored their desperate pleas", Scarborough and Brzezinski wrote.

He referred to her co-host and fiance Joe Scarborough, a former Republican US congressman, as "Psycho Joe".

For its part, the Enquirer released a statement denying the magazine threatened the couple or had knowledge "of any discussions between the White House and Joe and Mika about our story".

Trump also attacked NBC in a tweet on Saturday, alleging that Greta Van Susteren lost her show on MSNBC after only six months with the network because she "refused to go along with the Trump hate!'"

The next day (June 30) he added: "Watched low rated Morning Joe for first time in long time". Trump's tweet came a day after a report by Page Six that CNN "flew into a panic on Friday after it accidentally aired a fake National Enquirer cover".

Yet another lie. I have texts from your top aides and phone records. "Bad show", he wrote.

Trump made no comment on Twitter about a Little Rock, Arkansas shooting that left 28 wounded Saturday.

In the tweet, Trump said Brzezinski and her co-host Joe Scarborough "aren't bad people, but the low-rated show is dominated by their NBC bosses". His description of Brzezinski, as "bleeding badly from a face-lift", is just another example of his contempt for women, and is totally inappropriate coming from the President himself. "We were heartened to hear a number of Republican lawmakers call out Mr. Trump for his offensive words and can only hope that the women who are closest to him will follow their examples". How you ask? The commander-in-chief is friends with David Pecker, the mag's publisher.

Earlier, Trump attacked on the hosts Thursday after he slammed Brzezinski's intellect, questioned her sanity and mocked her appearance.

"I am very concerned as to what this once again reveals about the president of the United States", Brzezinski said.

She said: "The American people elected a fighter; they didn't elect somebody to sit back and do nothing".
