Six people have been released without charge in relation to the atrocity in which four people from the North East lost their lives.

A MAN has been arrested and another property is being searched in connection to the Manchester terror attack.

Police said they believed the vehicle was a significant piece of evidence in the investigation into the May 22 attack when Salman Abedi walked into the foyer of Manchester Arena and detonated an improvised explosive device as fans left an Ariana Grande concert, reports Efe.

He is the eight person to be released from United Kingdom custody without any further action, while another ten remain in cells.

Abedi blew himself up in the attack at Manchester Arena and police have made a number of arrests as investigations continue.

The suspect is a 24-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of offenses contrary to the Terrorism Act, police wrote in a tweet. A bomb-disposal team was called out and the auto was removed.

Abedi, 22, bought most of the key component parts of the bomb in the days before the attack.

Salman Abedi, 22, whose family are believed to be of Libyan origin, died after detonating a device as people began leaving an Ariana Grande concert.

The singer shared a picture of herself and a youngster in her hospital bed with her 107 million Instagram followers, captioned simply with a heart. "Never seen jaden so happy! even cried again myself".
