Ravens Sign Former Steelers CBs Brandon Boykin, Al-Hajj Shabazz

Ravens Sign Two New Cornerbacks, Release Kyle Arrington

Brandon Boykin will have an interesting opportunity forthcoming. He originally signed a three-year, $7 million contract in 2015.

The Baltimore Ravens signed CB Brandon Boykin and CB Al-Hajj Shabazz and terminated the contract of vested veteran CB Kyle Arrington (failed physical), general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced Monday. They will add Boykin, who missed all of last season with an injury and saw another malady limit him previously as a free agent.

Baltimore also lost slot corner Tavon Young for the season when he tore his ACL last week during OTAs.

The 5-foot-9, 183-pound former fourth-round pick from Georgia missed all of last season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle during training camp with the Chicago Bears.

Boykin's best season in the National Football League came in 2013, as he tallied 47 tackles, six interceptions and one touchdown.

After he agreed to a pay cut, Arrington suffered a concussion against the Carolina Panthers in the preseason and was placed on injured reserve. He was released by the Steelers early May and finds himself on the Ravens. Arrington started from 2010-13 with the Patriots but logged just eight starts combined with the "14 Pats and '15 Ravens". Shabazz has primarily been a practice squad player, but he played in seven games for the Steelers last season, recording one tackle.
