A Warm Memorial Day Weekend, Could See Some Rain

The National Weather Service says the rain won't be soaking here in the Lehigh Valley, but wet weather will be widespread nonetheless. The sun even comes out in the afternoon. Highs are going to be in the upper-70s to lower-80s with west winds 10-20 miles per hour.

Memorial Day weekend is considered the kickoff of summer, but there's no summer heat in sight for south-central Wisconsin, according to forecasters.

MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies will develop for Memorial Day Monday, with a high temperature of 79 degrees. The way things shake out right now, expect bountiful blue skies and highs in the upper 70s on Memorial Monday. Still, we do have some possible clouds and showers (25% chance)-especially this morning-with afternoon having best chance for dry weather and sunshine.

Friday: Isolated showers before 9am, then scattered showers after 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 74. Southwest wind 5 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 20 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

At night, skies will be partly cloudy and lows will fall into the 50s. Northwest wind 5 miles per hour. While we don't expect a washout, showers are likely. Saturday will be a lovely day, with mostly sunny skies and just an isolated storm or two over the mountains.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Rain chances continue as a cold front moves across Kentucky, with a low of 60 degrees.

Tonight: A chance of showers, mainly before 9 p.m.

Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Winds have shifted to the southwest, bringing in warmer air.

Sunday, we will have a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except for higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. The rain risk will be 20 percent.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 2 a.m. tonight, with up to a half an inch of rain possible.

Weather: The low expected to produce showers across much of the state of NY on Friday, will be pushing off the northeast coast into the Atlantic on Saturday. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tuesday: Scattered showers, mainly after 9am.

Friday will have mostly sunny skies.

Wednesday night - Increasing clouds, with a low around 55.
