Blizzard REVEALS new Skins and voice lines

All the Overwatch and Blizzard fans are in for a massive treat next week as the developer prepares for the big Anniversary Event. Blizzard has been busy teasing new skins, maps and emotes. What can players expect from this momentous event?

Before many of us had even gotten our hands on Overwatch, Blizzard's animated shorts warmed us up to its characters, setting, and lore.

The Overwatch Anniversary Event runs all the way from May 23 until June 12.

In the lead up to the event, Blizzard has revealed new skins for Soldier 76, Pharah, Bastion and Zarya (via PvP Live).

The interview, which was held with turikk and BoozyPelican, the moderators of the official Overwatch sub-Reddit, along with ForceGaming's Dennis Duhamel, gave a glimpse of the mindset of Kaplan and the Overwatch development team as they head into the game's second year.

A datamine last week also suggested a new mode centred around destroying an objective for the first time in Overwatch - it's not clear if the two are related. "So our first season started with "Recall" and ended with 'The Last Bastion.'" According to Kaplan, the team is "hard at work on more of those" and "making good progress". "We really love working with our animation group and digging out the stories not tied to any constraints of gameplay - we can tell any stories we want..."

One thing that's really fun about Blizzard games is celebrating other Blizzard games. We plan to tell more of those.

We know it's common for the community to question vague news stories like this, but we're confident given the sources we've spoken to that Overwatch 2 is in the works at the very least. It highlighted the game's numerous accomplishments like its release, the "Overwatch" league, and many more.
