Apple Expected to Release Three New Laptops in Summer 2017

According to sources, Cupertino's entire MacBook line-up is scheduled for a refresh at the traditionally software-focused keynote on June 5.

The models reportedly due for upgrades are, unsurprisingly, the MacBook Pro, 12-inch MacBook and perhaps even the MacBook Air.

The MacBook Air may no longer be the thinnest notebook of Apple, but it still remains to be the lightest. The article, which cited three people familiar with the situation, said the company's MacBook Pro, a new 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Air could all get faster chips. Disregarding that, Apple fans are expecting the MacBook Pro 2017 to have a more slender design, a bigger battery for more runtime and another gold color. The latest processor is one thing, but a lot of photographers and videographers sure seem to miss those SD card slots, and a screen at least closer to 4K for the hefty price would keep with today's standards. Interestingly, Apple is also planning to give the 13-inch MacBook Air, now the sole model in the range, a refresh. The impression from KGI is that production for the new MacBook's will only begin in July. The refreshed MacBook Pro 15-inch model is relied upon to have a 32GB of RAM.

However, the KGI Securities examiner expressed that the MacBook Pro 2017 would most likely be outfitted with various updates. Apple's desktops have lagged too, and earlier this year, Apple pledged to release major upgrades to the Mac Pro and iMac with better specifications for expert users in the future. The MacBook Pro 2017 15-inch variant will be the most significantly redesigned device this year. Will everything rumored actually come to life next month at WWDC 2017?

Apple Inc. plans to announce an update to its laptop lineup at an annual conference for app developers in early June, a move that could help offset new competition from Microsoft Corp.as well as declining iPad sales. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
