Caitlyn plummets in baby name popularity

The top baby names that year were John and Mary. In fact, in 2016, the name Donald dropped 45 spots below its 2015 baby name ranking, according to the Social Security Administration's yearly Popular Names list.

It's the fourth consecutive year Noah has claimed the top spot for boys.

Say hello once again to Noah and Emma, who made the top of the baby names list for the third year in a row.

The Social Security Administration's website provides lists of the top 1,000 baby names for each year, dating to 1880. Hillary fell out of the top 1,000 names in 2009 and has not returned.

The second biggest jumps were for the names Royalty (for girls) and Creed (for boys), with pop culture playing a big role in overall baby name popularity. A look at the list of the top 1000 names reveals where things might be changing. So, the higher the number, the less popular the name. She was named an artist to watch and clearly new parents agree her star is rising.

For boys in 2016, that name was Kylo, which rose from 3,359 in 2015 to 901 past year.

Kehlani rose 2,487 spots on the girls' side to number 872, from number 3,359 in 2015.

The kids and the teenagers were big on Kylo.
