First Female White House Chief Usher 'No Longer Employed'

Angella Reid, the first woman and second African-American to hold the position of White House chief usher, was sacked because she made no secret of the fact that she remains a Hillary supporter and she refused to pander to the president.

'We are very grateful for her service and wish her the very best, ' an official told the Washington Post. The Jamaican-born Reid had been the general manager of the Ritz-Carlton at Pentagon City in Virginia before coming to the White House.

White House staff were notified Friday morning that Reid was no longer employed. According to the Post, there have only been nine chief ushers since the beginning of the 20th century.

The chief usher more like a director of operations ar the White House.

The Washington Post first reported her dismissal. Warm, kind, & commanded respect of the White House.

"This is really some s***". I'm sure Donald Trump was primed to just respect and adore her from the start.

Anita McBride, who served as chief of staff to Laura Bush, spoke highly of Reid but said her background in the hospitality sector may have left her less prepared for the transition between administrations than other White House residence staff members, who had served both Democrats and Republicans in course of their careers.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Angella Reid departed on good terms, Fox News reports.

Reid, who had 25 years experience in hotel management, happened upon the position at a pool party.

Well, at least she no longer has to worry about Trump trying to turn everything in the residence a lurid gold color.

"Summer of 2011, I went to a party, it was a pool party", she told NBC.

"Knowing Angella, I doubt seriously that she would have done something herself to cause this", Rochon. "I met a young lady who told me that there was a position open at the White House for the chief usher".
