Real To Draw Atletico?

Show Grid

The semi-final draw will be made on Friday, April 21 at 11am.

Atletico Madrid supporters would rather go out in the Champions League semi-finals than suffer the prospect of a potential third final defeat to rivals Real Madrid, according to Bernd Schuster.

Buffon shut out Lionel Messi and Barcelona over two legs in the quarter-finals but his Juventus side must beat one of the above in the last four to keep alive his dreams of a first Champions League title.

Proceedings will begin at 11.00am BST, with the draw following shortly after.

Which are the teams that have reached the semi-final stage?

When asked about a desire for revenge over Madrid, Gabi refused to be drawn, but he offered a message of support to Barca, who must overturn a 3-0 deficit from a torrid first-leg in Turin having been forced to come from 4-0 behind against Paris Saint-Germain in the previous round.

While Real edged past the German champions when the match rolled into extra time, riding on a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick in a rather controversial match which framed around certain alleged referee blunders. They have won the Champions League/European Cup four times previously and the Europa League/Uefa Cup once, beating Torino in the 1992 final.

Atletico, meanwhile, ended Leicester's fairytale run in Europe, edging the Foxes 2-1 over two legs.

The chosen venue is the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.

Both Juventus and Monaco were ahead after the first legs and the Italians put in a strong defensive display to earn a goalless draw against Barcelona at the Nou Camp and progressed 3-0 on aggregate.

The final is set to take place in Stockholm on May 24.
