Roberto Martinez: Eden Hazard 'reminds me of Lionel Messi'

Roberto Martinez believes that Chelsea ace Eden Hazard has proved once again this season that he has "unique" ability when it comes to dribbling past opposition players.

Saturday's goal was Hazard's 10th of the season and his 65th as a Chelsea player.

"It's true. When I get a lot of kicks, I feel really in the game", Hazard said after the weekend's Premier League fixture headliner.

"The good thing about Eden is he is nearly a throwback".

“Look, Im not saying I like to be kicked, but its good for me to be in the game.

Well, whatever works, I suppose.

He scored a wonderful solo goal on Saturday during Chelsea's 3-1 victory over London rivals Arsenal and it drew praise from his national team manager.

"Certain players individually were not at their best and when you are very young and inexperienced and there seems to me players who are not playing at their best level, well that hurts".

"Sometimes in the past, I don't touch the ball for 20-30 minutes".

"When we don't have the ball, he wants me to defend, to close inside and when we do have it I have to counterattack and be free, always trying to do some "magic". Hazard has evolved right in front of our eyes over the past 4.5 years and he's slowly been making his own game more well-rounded. I think I am a better player, more complete than I was.and I think we're in better form as a team.

"You have to concentrate in every single match and try to be first at the end of the season".

Hazard starred with 14 goals and nine assists as Chelsea lifted the 2014/15 title, but the winger struggled badly the following season as the club's title defence had collapsed by December with Jose Mourinho sacked.
